Jack Daniel's
Tradition at Miss Mary's

Dinner at Miss Mary's is all about tradition and gracious hospitality. Folks gather on the front porch awaiting the dinner bell and their party's seating assignment at one of the big family-style tables. If Tennessee hospitality is new to you or you're a little shy, don't worry. Each table is headed by a Lynchburg hostess who will lead the introductions, encourage conversation and start the process of passing all the dishes to the left. Of course, she's quick to offer seconds and thirds and will make sure all the platters and bowls are kept full.

So what exactly will you be eating? How does this sound--two meats, six country-style vegetables and side dishes, freshly brewed iced tea, cornbread or rolls and homemade dessert and coffee? Of course, being a dry county, you can't order a Jack Daniel's toddy at Miss Mary's. But, that doesn't mean they can't cook with it! The secret ingredient in some of Miss Mary's most renowned dishes is just a touch of the hometown product.

There are always two meats and six side dishes and cornbread or rolls served. The menu may include some of these favorites:

Besides getting your fill of the best country-style dinner you've ever tasted, you'll probably enjoy the company. You might have a couple from Singapore on one side, businessmen from just down the road in Lawrenceburg on the other, and from everywhere in between filling the other seats. Lynne always says that folks from all over the world come to the table as strangers and leave as friends.
